Scale of the problem
Rather than one seemingly precise figure, we show several categories of data: what has already happened, what businesses declare, and what follows from forecasts.
What we already know
- In the cases known to the initiators of the portal alone, several hundred proceedings concerning shipments from 2021 are under way, initiated since December 2025.
- The amounts determined in the decisions issued so far run into tens of millions of zlotys, excluding interest calculated from 2021.
- The typical amount demanded per container is several hundred thousand zlotys, many times more than the fee for handling the shipment.
Estimate by the initiators based on case documents; aggregated data, without identifying businesses.
Results of the business survey

We are collecting data. We will show the results once the number of verified submissions reaches 5, so that no individual company can be identified.
Methodology and reliability principles
- Only submissions verified by the organisers for consistency are included in the statistics.
- A single debt for which several entities are jointly and severally liable is counted once; an appeal decision does not create a new amount.
- Amounts claimed, paid and secured are separate categories. The issuing of a decision does not mean that the amount due is final.
- We present factual data and forecasts separately. We always state the number of responses on which a result is based.
- We do not publish results based on too small a number of companies, either overall or for an individual voivodeship.
- The absence of a submission does not mean the absence of damage: the results are a lower-bound estimate of the scale of the phenomenon.
- We record every change in methodology and every correction of a result.
